I want to know what you think when you showerÂ
Not in a weird way thoughÂ
When you feel the water rushing downÂ
When you peer down at your toesÂ
What goes on in your headÂ
Oh, how desperate I am to knowÂ
Â
Are you thinking about your body?Â
Are you neutral, proud, ashamed?Â
Are you thinking about things that never should've happened?Â
All the days you can't regain?Â
Things that can't be removed?Â
The rest of what remains?Â
Â
Are you thinking about your friendships?Â
What's gone and who still stayedÂ
Do you ponder whether you should stay with them?Â
If they really are what your brain made?Â
Â
Do you remember that one girlÂ
Do you want to braid her hair?Â
Is that guy still on your mind?Â
Has he proven that he cares?Â
Â
Maybe careers in the future,Â
Maybe dreams lost in the pastÂ
Â
What could've happened if you didn't move fast enough?Â
Would it still be here, in your grasp?Â
Â
Are you just thinking of butterflies and snow?Â
Music that inspires you to grow?Â
Â
What happens in the afterlife?Â
What lies down there, below?Â
Â
Is it your aunt, is it your dog? Is it an ant? Is it the crisis of smog? Â
Is it an alleyway? Is it sound? Is it lost, can it ever be found? Â
Is it me? Is it the trees? Is it a breeze, does it carry you away? Â
Is it the rain? Is it your god? Is it writing that makes you want to stay?Â
Â
I want to know.Â
I want to know youÂ
I want to feel how you doÂ
I want to see youÂ
Have deep conversations with youÂ
Â
What is it?Â
That you think about?Â
When you're in the shower?Â
